Stone Golf Club Local rules
In addition to the 2023 Royal and Ancient Rules of Golf, the following Local Rules will apply.

Out of Bounds (Rule 18.2)

Beyond any wall, fence, hedge or line of white stakes defining the boundary of the course.

The Practice ground as defined by the line of white stakes.

Penalty Areas (Rule 17)
Penalty areas are defined by either yellow or red stakes.
The edge of the penalty area is defined by the line between the outside points of the stakes at ground level, and the stakes are inside the penalty area. All bridges crossing the penalty areas are deemed to be inside the areas.

Ball Played from outside Relief Area When Taking Back-On-The-Line Relief Model Local Rule E-12 is in effect.

Abnormal Course Conditions including Immovable Obstructions (Rule 16) Ground under Repair
i) Any area bounded by a white line.
Immovable Obstructions
i) All artificially surfaced roads and paths on the course.
ii) The water tower and pump house on the 5th and 14th.
iii) All shelters, toilets, fountains, inspection chambers and drainage covers.

Immovable Obstructions Close to Putting Greens (e.g. sprinkler-heads) Model Local Rule F-5 is in effect.

Protection of Young Trees
Young Trees identified by wrapping, staked, guarded or otherwise protected are no play zones.

If a player’s ball lies anywhere on the course other than in a penalty area and it lies on or touches such a tree or such a tree interferes with the player’s stance or area of intended swing, the player Must take relief under Rule 16.1f.

If a ball lies in a penalty area, and interference to the player’s stance or area of intended swing exists from such a tree, the player Must take relief either with penalty under Rule 17.1e or with free relief under Rule 17.1e(2).

7. Priority
No Player shall commence their round if they would interfere with Players progressing to the 10th Tee.

Distance Markers
Distance markers are to the centre of the greens.
